Over the years, the Chinar YUVA Centre in Baramulla has evolved into more than just a safe space—it has become a nurturing haven for the youth of the Valley.
This Centre, with its ever-growing footprint, attracts individuals not just from Baramulla but also from across the district.
With an impressive track record, the Centre has trained over 5,838 students, and 1,065 individuals, including 681 girls and 693 boys, have secured employment in both government and private sectors. Prestigious companies such as Domino’s, KFC, Bajaj Motors, Khyber Resort, Mahindra Motors, Airtel, ICICI, SBI, and others have welcomed these talented youth into their workforce. Beyond traditional employment, more than 50 students are now leading self-help businesses, showcasing entrepreneurial spirit and resilience.

The Chinar YUVA Centre exemplifies youth empowerment by focusing on skill development and fostering a shared vision of progress. Backed by the Chinar Corps, supported by the Dagger Division, ONGC, and training partners, this initiative has become a transformative force in the Valley.
With a commitment to inclusivity and gender sensitivity, the Centre offers a platform where individuals from diverse backgrounds can come together to learn, grow, and thrive. This collaborative environment not only strengthens the community but also promotes a more equitable and harmonious society.

A historic achievement for our center as eight talented women— joined Tata Wistron, Bangalore, marking a new chapter in their careers. In Kashmir, where women once hesitated to pursue professional careers, our center has been a catalyst for change, empowering women to break barriers and achieve their dreams. Through rigorous training, mentorship, and unwavering support, we prepared these candidates to shine during their interviews on November 27, 2024.
Their journey continued with a smooth transition to Bangalore on December 4, and they completed their onboarding process by December 7. Today, these trailblazers stand as a testament to our mission of empowering women and reshaping the employment landscape in Kashmir.

On the bright morning of 10th August 2024, the Showkat Ali Stadium in Baramulla became the stage for an extraordinary feat of unity, culture, and talent. In an awe-inspiring event, 10,000 students, led by a dedicated group of six exceptional youth, came together to perform a synchronized Kashmiri Rouf Dance, setting a Universal Record and leaving an indelible mark in the annals of history.
Distinguished Guests and Dignitaries
The mesmerizing synchrony of the participants captivated a distinguished panel of esteemed judges and dignitaries, including:
- The Core Commander and officers of the GOC Dagger Division.
- The Commander of the 19 Artillery Brigade.
- Senior police officers like the SSP Baramulla and other high-ranking officials.
- Renowned judges from Chennai and Kolkata.
- A host of other luminaries and high-ranking officers.

As the dancers moved in unison, the crowd erupted into thunderous applause, celebrating the sheer artistry and teamwork displayed on the field.
